Laugh Out Loud Funny

Had a beautiful sunrise this week. Glad I saw it, but would have liked to have still been in bed. A friend gave me the book by Jonathan Acuff. It is laugh out loud funny. Literally every page. The picture of Chachi was taken after I accidentally left a bowl of chocolate candies on the coffee table and he ate the entire bowl. We'll see how that works out.

Upward!

Well another year of Upward Basketball. Maybe this year he will remember to dribble. David is on the Sooners this year. Glad he has Ryan as a coach. Hope he will learn a lot and have fun.

Salisbury Steak

Had Jean and Beth over for dinner Saturday night and believe it or not, I made Salisbury Steak. I was force fed this meal as a kid. OK, OK, not force fed, but I had to eat it one time without drinking anything to wash it down and it traumatized me. David had it at school and liked it, so I thought I'd give it a try. It wasn't too bad and he liked it a lot. He made himself a spoon out of foil and has been using it to consume his lukewarm hot chocolate.

Race Day!

Race day!. David and I ran a 1.8 mile Fun Run around lake Bella Vista on New Year's Day. Neither of us had ever been in a race. David for some odd reason did not want to wear the number. It embarrassed him. Who knows why! We did run the whole thing mainly because it was too cold to walk it and we came in first. I really enjoyed it and plan to enter more races.

Sea of Leaves

Mena is standing in a sea of leaves and has treed a squirrel that was taunting her. Chachi is looking deceptively cute wondering what the heck Mena is all riled up about.

The Loot

My cqar outside my mom's house in Texas. I thought I had a lot of leaves. I know it is silly, but I love Mardel and we don't have one. Got distracted when sent to Tom Thumb to get cheese for the celery. And the last shot is David's Christmas take.

Twirling

Well, Nida actually can twirl.

Festive Shots

These are some random christmas shots. We made a gingerbread village. I say we, what I really mean is me. David gets all excited about doing it, but then I'm the one who gets to do the work. Same thing with Jack-o-lanterns. Said forget it to that one this year. I hate cleaning out pumpkins. The last shot is a blow up snowman with a shotgun in a yard right by the high school. Cracked me up every morning. Arkansas!

The Theatre

We all went to see The Best Christmas Pagent ever at the ACO. It was a a pretty good show.
