Happy Halloween

David was GI Joe for Halloween this year. He loved the muscles on the costume, but wouldn't admit it now. His pumpkin (which he thought was a little silly to carry around) was overflowing by the end of the night.

A beautiful morning sky at school and saying goodbye to powder blue light fixture in the kitchen.

Chachi

After Mena's Success with Black Jack, we decided to adopt a little boy dog of our own. Chachi is the newest member of the Nollenberger household. They said he is a chihuahua mix, but I think he as some Jack Russell terrier in him based on the way he can spring up in the air.

Homemade Ranch

Tambie and Julie and I went to dinner on the square. Julie raved about the homemade ranch dressing at The Station and wouldn't you know it, they went to packages of dressing instead. She grabbed a comment card to make her displeasure known.

Happiness Is...

David and I are making a book about all the little things that make us happy, like ice cream an video games and fall.

Squirrel

On the night that David's Grandma and Aunt Beth were picking David up for a sleepover David showed them how Mena will run to a tree and bark at it any time you say "squirrel". I think this time, she may have actually seen one in the tree though.

Can't Wait

Read this book over break and loved it. Can't wait for the movie to come out.

Black Jack

We got to take care of Scott and Denise's little dog Black Jack for a couple of days and Mena actually played with him instead of trying to bite his head off. I thought she was going to bite his head off a couple of times. I looked over and his head was in her mouth, but she was just toying with him.

So Long DeGray

The boys had to get one more romp in the sand pile before we left the camping area. As you can see from the last picture here, they were none too thrilled when I made them get out of the SUV to take a shot by the sign. You would have thought I asked them to pull their own eyelashes out. Good grief!!

The Can

This gives new meaning to drink from the can. David and I were the only brave ones to drink straight from this toilet water fountain. We are adventurous!

A Hair Raising Experience

The museum had a working Tesla Coil, which was so amazingly loud. They also did this cool hair raising experiment. Tyler's hair worked best.

All Hands On Deck

The science museum in Hot Springs was a fun trip. All kinds of hands-on stuff for us to do.

Kings of the Mountain

Lucky for the boys there was a huge pile of sand on the beach for them to dig in. I thought it was way too chilly to be romping around in the water, but not these boys. And I have no idea how this tree ended up this way, but it was way too cool to pass up.

Digging up Arkansas

Took a trip to Crater of Diamonds State Park and did some serious digging. Alas, we didn't find any diamond, but we did find about 20 puonds of precious rocks that the boys could just not live without. Do believe all 20 pounds of rocks never made it out of the bag they were put in. Not as precious as we thought.
