Thanks, Mom.

Mom got a very pretty cake for me to celebrate. She says it isn't a birthday without a cake. Thanks, Mom.

Just Looking

David suckered grammy into getting him a build-a-bear. She thought it would be $18 but after the clothes and shoes it was closer to $50. That's why we always "just look" when we go in.

Inappropriate Toys

David took a break from playing out at the mall to tell Santa all the inappropriate toys that he would like for Christmas.

Early Birthday

Went out to lunch with the family the day after Thanksgiving to celebrate an early birthday for me.

Less is More

We got the house decorated over the Thanksgiving break and mom took a couple of shots of David in front of the tree. Our theme is always less is more when it comes to decorations.

Help Me!

Brian and David and I went to the Fayetteville Parade last night where the light the square. The lights were beautiful and Brian and I were marveling at how many extension cords and power sources they must have to use, which kind of takes away from the wonderment of it all, but one has to wonder. The last shot is of David pretending to be in prison. He was saying, "Help me! Let me out!" What a goofy kid. I love that about him.

Eternity

David and I had sloppy joes for dinner the other nigth and even though David always protests this choice, he always eats the entire thing. Notice in the second picture that David is only wearing one sock. This is my life. The process of putting on socks and shoes for David is and adventure. He can make a simple task that should take less than two minutes last for what feels like an eternity. He probably thinks I am the most impatient person in the world, but I can only take so much.

A Sea of Brown

Mena has been very good to Chachi since he arrived. She lets him bite her legs and pull on her ears too. She doesn't even seem to mind that I let him on the furniture, but not her. I just finished up my first High School book fair and it was a learning experience. Sales were not amazing, but I learned a lot and it will be better next year. Last Sunday I didn't have to sing or anything, so David and I got up late (like around 7:00) and fixed cinnamon rolls and bacon and eggs and fruit before we went to church. It was a wonderful, relaxing morning. And finally, my entire backyard is covered in leaves, which I do not intend to clean up at all. It is a Sea of Brown back there.

No Risk

I am attempting to read all 759 pages of HP and the DH even though I have listened to all the other books. Actually set it aside and finished another book that I started Friday. Chachi's manhood was taken from him this week and the strange thing is he is frisky with Mena now when he wasn't before. No risk of unwanted pregnancy now. Ha!

The Goods

Chachi is finally warming up to Brian a bit, well "warming up" might be taking it a bit far, but at least he calms down a lot quicker now and only tries to bite him once or twice per visit. That is real progress. David and I got a new lego game the other day. Had to put it together first and then play. It's fun and you can change the rules up, which make it even better. The plant is one that I got from my Grammie's funeral about 15 years ago and even though I have treated it very poorly over the years, it just hangs on. I will post a picture of it now. Still brown but no longer wilted. And finally, I left the treat bag just a wee bit to low and Mena had quite a feast. She was probably ticked off that Chachi was getting all the goods.

Happy Halloween

David was GI Joe for Halloween this year. He loved the muscles on the costume, but wouldn't admit it now. His pumpkin (which he thought was a little silly to carry around) was overflowing by the end of the night.

Men in Black

The band (Brian, Chris and Mike) unknowingly color coordinated today. They looked great.
