Tanyard Creek

A lazy afternoon at Tanyard.

Tanyard

Packed a picnic lunch and went out to Tanyard on Sunday afternoon. Hadn't been there in a long time. Not a lot of water flowing, but it was still a beautiful day and we had a great time. David and I think the rock he is sitting on looks like a dinosaur.

My Little Doggie

We took Mena to get a bath at PetSmart and David foudna dog cone or whatever these things are called. He still pretends to be a dog or a cat every now and then. Still drives me nuts.

Frisco Festival

Went to the Frisco Festival and David got yelled at by one of the old guys for touching this blue car. These guys are serious about their cars. So we just pretended to touch it. David also climbed the rock wall. Did pretty well for having flip flops on.

Stylin'

David actually styled his hair for school, so we had to get a picture of the handsome boy.

Cute Crew

Scott and the kids come over for dinner and we took a walk over to the playground at the apartments next to the house. Chloe is wearing my homecoming crown. Glad it is being put to good use.

Goofy!

Just two goofy guys.

Good Timiing

Round about 10:20 last Saturday morning, I get this strange feeling that I am forgetting something. Then it hits me...Liam's birthday party that started an hour ago. I run and get David and we rave around the house finding his swimsuit and a bad to put the gift in. We were both still in our PJs. We made it there by 10:40 and that is with drive time. I thought that was pretty good timing.

A Great and Terrible Beauty

Just started this one, but I am already into it. A girl at school the other day brought it back and said she didn't like it and put it down. To each his own. I think it's great and it is a trilogy, so more fun to come.

Take Cover

Trying to cover all the paperback books in the high school library with what amounts to expensive contact paper. This pile here took me about 2 hours to complete. Must be very anal retentive to do it correctly. My old boss from the library in Springdale would be proud of me.

The Dragonfly Pool

Just finished this story and really enjoyed it. Great heroine who refuses to be held back, yet accomplished great things with class and manners.

Books Galore

These are just four of the 14 boxes of books that I have purchased for the high school library. I have a $15000 budget and I have spent about $6,500 on books and supplies. It is so much more fun spending someine else's money.

Fashionista

Sent David to school in this green shirt today and had no idea that it had three big holes in the back. Oh, well.

The three Rs

I know this just looks like a pile of junk in my office, but actually it is my effort to be green. I have a very hard time throwing away paper and cardboard and whatnot, so this is my collection that had been growing for several weeks.

The Amazing Race

Brian had to eat a frosty from Wendy's during one of challenges on the Amazing Race. Shelly, Julie, Mike and I all had a great time trying to figure out the clues and get to our destinations. We came in 10th place out of 11th, but we had fun doing it.

Nice Night

Scott and the kiddos came over for a play night. Didn't do much, just played in the backyard and went for a walk. Nice, peaceful evening.

Rabbit Teeth

David really enjoys his gymnastics class. He isn't competetive as of yet, just goes for fun. I love this picture because of his two rabbit teeth that he will hopefully grow into one day. Too cute. He would hate me saying all this about him. "MOM! You are embarrassing me!" Too bad embarrassment ever has to set in. I think we would be a much happier people without it. Keep childlike innocence forever.

Road Work?

Came home yesterday to paint in the grass by the road. Had no idea what that was all about until we got home today and saw the ginormous road work sign in our front yard. Good think the grass is dead and I don't have to mow around it. No telling how long it will be up since I haven't seen any road work going on yet.
